11th Street Bridge Park Walkability, Data Analysis and Case Study Presentation
For the past four months, students at Virginia Tech’s Graduate Urban Planning Studio have been studying plans for an 11th Street Bridge Park, with the goal of ensuring that the park is deeply stitched into surrounding neighborhoods. At this final presentation, students will share their research, analysis and recommendations.

All Stars Prevention Program
The "Ward 8 After-School All Stars" is fun-filled and educational after-school program for pre-teens and adolescents ages 11-14 living in Ward 8. Participants will learn about positive, healthy lifestyle choices including abstaining from drugs, alcohol and sexual activity. This program operates twice a week; every Monday and Thursday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Stipend and refreshments available. Fall Harvest Fest
Join THEARC and its partners for an afternoon of fun gardening projects to winterize THEARC Organic Community Garden. There will be various family-friendly activities including a Zumba class, dance and music performances, pony rides, horseshoe games, and a moon bounce for kids.
