DC Black Theatre Festival | Grace is in the House: Move over Madea! There's a new queen in town.

Sister Louise Irma Mae Jenkins, High Rock Baptist Church’s finest bible toting scripture quoting missionary and a voice for the Voices of Praise. The story is told in the small town of Natural Bridge, Virginia in the living room of beloved church Mother Lilly Williams. After a disastrous performance by his newest singing group at the High Rock Church building fund rally, Rev. Leroy calls a special meeting. Unbeknownst to him another meeting had already been planned and sets the house ablaze!

A knock is heard at the door that would change everybody’s life proving we serve a God of “second chances”. A surprise slap at the altar gives a blind man back his sight! This invigorating play will leave you stunned and elated – even Sister Jenkins, Mother Williams and Rev. Leroy won't argue that!
