DC Black Theatre Festival | America’s Children Are Moving with “My Little World”A Day In PreSchool! “LIVE” An Interactive Theatre Production

"My Little World" A Day In PreSchool “LIVE” is a vibrant theatre production, full of cultural music that promotes 60-minutes of healthy physical activity, while engaging children in interactive lessons that teach movement techniques and healthy living principles. The production takes place in our one-room interactive school house with classroom stations, including Social Studies, Music and Arts, Health and Nutrition (The Kitchen), Language Arts, Literacy and Math.

The cast of children (portrayed by young adults and youth) are taught wonderful healthy lessons by their teacher Mr. Goodman Learner, the school Chef, Trya Veggeline, our grumpy Janitor, Mr. Ray-Mond and the renowned heart specialist Dr. A. Orta Thumpbabump. Each character engages the audience in movement while teaching the importance of participating in daily physical activity, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water, exercising for the health of the heart and so much more!

Through the creativity of the "My Little World" production team, Natii Wright, creator of the My Little World Educational Music Series, Kelsey E. Collie, former professor and Assistant Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Howard University and Melvin Andrews, Director of the Kelsey E. Collie Children’s Theatre Experience, “My Little World” comes to life!

Showtimes at 10AM, 11AM and 1PM.
