"Two Weeks Until the Rest of My Life" Opens Exclusively in DC July 20 and 21 at THEARC Theater

Two Weeks Until the Rest of My Life, a story about making hard choices between career and true love, travels from Buffalo, New York to the nation’s capitol for three exciting performances on Saturday, July 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. sponsored by WHUR-FM 96.3 and on July 21 at 2 p.m. THEARC Theater is located at 1901 Mississippi Avenue, S.E. Washington, D.C. 20020.

The story plot focuses on an attractive, independent federal government manager Denise Younger, who travels to New Orleans on business and is surprised by an unexpected, whirlwind romance with a younger man. It ultimately challenges everything she knows or has experienced about love, passion, and reveals that love is not measured by age, time, or distance.

The play is based on the novel, Two Weeks Until the Rest of My Life written by Harold T. Fisher, host of WHUR-FM’s The Daily Drum. It is adapted for the stage by Paulette D. Harris, Artistic Director for the Paul Robeson Theatre (PRT) in Buffalo, NY and directed by Buffalo’s PRT theatrical staple, Mary Craig.

“Love can be found in the most unexpected places. This is a story about letting go and letting love find you.  I hope it gives people something to think and talk about.”  Fisher says.

The Buffalo News gave the play three out of four stars and the shows are expected to sell out throughout the weekend. In addition to the play’s media sponsor, WHUR-FM, the play is powered by the following sponsors, ORS (Formerly Organic Root Stimulator), The W Hotel Washington, DC, and TWA Solutions.

General admission is $23.50 for all performances with a "Cast Talkback,” and book signing immediately following each performance.
